Are you looking for a scary good time? If so, you won’t want to miss the Scare on the Square this October. This Halloween event is slated to take place in historic downtown McKinney on October 31, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents are looking forward to the spooky annual event, in which the streets of downtown are closed down to enable little trick-or-treaters to walk safely in their costumes as they go from shop to shop in search of candy from local merchants.
There will be a costume contest with an environmental theme, rewarding people who make their costumes from ordinary items found in the home.
Designed to be fun for the whole family, Scare on the Square will take place rain or shine. Admission is free, with ample parking available downtown.
