Residents of Texas are eagerly anticipating this year’s Texas State Fair, which is set to take place from September 27 to October 20, 2013. The historical fair is fun for the whole family, and gives people an opportunity to spend time together and enjoy some of the best of what Texas has to offer.
Your kids will love seeing the newly constructed fair icon Big Tex presiding over visitors as they rush off to sample all the different food and enjoy all the fun rides. The fair promotes the health and well being of all attendees, reinforcing the Summer of Safety theme.
From livestock shows to auto shows, there’s always something fun to do at the fair. Listen to your favorite performers at the new Silverado Main Stage, check out the pyrotechnics and dancing waters of Illumination Sensation and enjoy the beautiful floats and enormous puppets of the Starlight Parade. Of course, it wouldn’t be a successful trip to the fair without a world famous “Fletchers Corn Dog”.
Exhibit buildings at the fair are open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
