An App for Driving?

Sending text messages while driving is a dangerous activity. Even when the purpose is telling others that it is not a good time to talk, the short message can lead to accidents that are sometimes fatal. By taking advantage of AT&T’s new app for driving, it is possible to take away the risk and keep friends or family updated about the situation.

The app is called DriveMode and it was developed by AT&T to help reduce the number of accidents on the road that are caused by text messaging. It is part of AT&T’s new "It Can Wait" campaign, which strives to raise awareness about the dangers of driving while distracted.

The way the app works is simple. If a text message is recieved while driving and the speed of the vehicle is 25 MPH or higher, then the app will automatically send an auto-reply message that the driver puts into the app. The message will inform friends and family that is not currently safe to text and will prevent a delayed response.

Texting while driving is dangerous, but AT&T has come up with creative solutions to reduce the risks. To learn more about the app, contact Mike Leonard Insurance.
